Thornton Hall ♥ Lisa and Richard

As I mentioned one a previous post, our first wedding after our short holiday saw us at Thornton Hall on the Wirral for the wedding of the fabulous Lisa and Richard.

There are some photographers out there who will not photograph Autumn and Winter weddings but we love them. The lighting and colours are really something special and despite what many people think, the weather is usually not that bad and you rarely get days when outdoor photography is not possible.

The day was perfect. Mild with very little breeze which meant the ceremony could be outdoors in the pagoda. Brilliant.

Everyone had a great time and Lisa looked absolutely stunning and not unlike Audrey Hepburn in a beautiful and very flattering dress. Enjoy your honeymoon guys.

Wedding at Thornton Hall

Our first wedding since our return from a brief holiday on the Greek Island of Crete (see our blog entry at www.barrieneil.blogspot.com for a few photographs).

Saturday, 7th November 2009 sees us at the extensive venue of Thornton Hall on the Wirral for the wedding of Lisa and Richard.

Neil and I are both looking forward to getting back into the swing of things again and this should be a good wedding with a very nice couple at a great venue

Thornton Hall ♥ Emma and Lee

Hot on the heels of yesterday's wedding at Thornton Manor, today saw us just down the road at Thornton Hall for the wedding of the lovely Emma to her long time partner, Lee.

Emma and Lee have been together for more than 7 years and this showed when you see how close they are and how relaxed they are in each others company. What delightful families too. We had such great fun today with all the various Mums, Dads, Aunts and Uncles all determined to have a great time.

The weather was really nice. Not too hot and sticky and for a photographer, just enough cloud cover to stop people squinting. The good weather also meant that the ceremony could be held in the Pagoda in the garden of Thornton Hall which was what Emma and Lee were hoping for. As anyone who knows the venue will confirm, it's only possible to do this when the weather is fine so whoever was looking after us today, thank you.

Emma looked so stylish in the beautiful and very feminine dress and she was an absolute delight to see and photograph. Lee is such a nice guy and together they made one very lovely and happy couple.

Thornton Manor and Thornton Hall

This week sees us photographing 2 weddings again.

The first is on Friday and sees us back at magnificent Thornton Manor in the beautiful Wirral village of Thornton Hough where we are delighted to be photographing the wedding of Jennifer and Andrew.

On Saturday, we head back to Thornton Hough for that other great venue in the area, Thornton Hall. Another civil wedding this time between the gorgeous Emma and her lucky husband to be, Lee. I do hope the weather keeps fine so that we can use the Pagoda in the garden for the ceremony. It really is a lovely place for a wedding and whatever the weather, you are sure of a great day with fantastic photographs.
